NYC: Mika Higgins-Woo (Founder & Teacher)
Mika Higgins-Woo (she/her) is a rising senior at the Dalton School. She has been performing in musicals and plays since she was 8-years-old with Stagedoor Manor, Applause NY, Atlantic Theater School, Broadway Workshop and the Dalton Theater Department. Short plays she has written won the Writopia Worldwide Plays Competition in 2025 and 2026, and were produced at the resulting Plays Festival. This year she made her directoral debut with a production of Almost, Maine at Dalton. Teaching her theater and improv class to young children at the New York Public Library on the weekends is the highlight of her week.

NYC: Helina Tewdros (Volunteer Teacher)
Helina Tewodros (she/her) is a rising junior at the Dalton School. She has been an avid member of the Dalton Theater Department since joining the school in ninth grade, participating in every performance possible. Outside of school, Helina trains in both musical and straight theater through companies such as NYFA, The Barrow Group, The Young Actor’s Studio, and others. Past theater, Helina is a passionate musical performer and writer, often spending her free time playing guitar or making a capella arrangements.

NYC: Veronica Steele (Volunteer Teacher)
Veronica Steele (she/her) is a rising sophomore at The Dalton School, and has been performing for her entire life. She studied for four years at the School of American Ballet and performed in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center and now takes classes at SHUFFLES NYC, where she studies musical theater along with dance. Other training credits of hers include Berklee College of Music, Stella Adler Studio of Acting, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, where she has been playing guitar for the past 6 years. She is an avid performer at The Dalton School, and loves working with kids of all ages.
